School Recycling
Every building in Philadelphia is required by law to recycle. The purpose of this page is to develop strategies and steps for all schools to follow in order to achieve and maintain successful recycling programs throughout the Philadelphia School District. Teachers and students will receive recycling education that they can share with their communities to help raise awareness and concern for reusing, recycling, and reducing waste to protect the environment and also demonstrate the importance of every ones participation. Students can learn the impact of recycling, waste measures, important topics in waste management and uses for recyclable materials, as well as different ways their community can contribute and participate.
