Keep Philadelphia Beautiful believes in the power of community.
Litter can negatively affect Philadelphia’s businesses, pollute it’s natural resources, and threaten the health and psychological well-being of Philadelphians.
We support neighborhood cleanup and beautification efforts by:
Connecting neighborhood based organizations with work partners, volunteers and supplies (check out our annual Cleanup Guide with tips for planning your next event),
Co-hosting cleanup events, and
Promoting city-wide initiatives such as the Zero Waste and Litter Action Plan, the Philly Spring Cleanup, and the Philadelphia School District’s sustainability plan, GreenFutures.

Upcoming Community Volunteer Opportunities
COVID-19 Safety Update
Due to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), Spring cleanup events are cancelled. We encourage you to join us this fall (or as soon as we are permitted to gather in groups). Cleanup and event registration will re-open as soon as possible.
While the recommendations for COVID-19 include social distancing and no community events, this is may be a good time to take on a solo beautification project. This shouldn’t include plantings or larger events at a public place or park that would need prior approval.
Thank you for exercising caution during this time. We can’t wait to get together with you again, soon!
