Join us, Recyclebank, and the Philadelphia Streets Department this Friday, 11/15, from 11:00a to 3:00p in Rittenhouse Square to celebrate America Recycles Day!

America Recycles Day is a Keep America Beautiful initiative to promote recycling as an every day activity across the country. Here in Philadelphia, we’ll be filling Rittenhouse Square with informational and educational stations about how to properly recycle in Philadelphia, why recycling is so critical to the environment and the City, and the potential “second life” for any object through recycling and reuse. We’ll also have representatives from organizations throughout the City focused on reuse and recycling. And if that wasn’t enough, Streets Commissioner David Perri will start the day at 11:00a by officially declaring it America Recycles Day in Philadelphia.

We hope to see you on Friday!
